I am Director of Platform Engineering at NetBox Labs, where I look after the platform behind NetBox Cloud.
I am an SRE and DevOps exponent, which mostly means I get paged so you don’t.
I am a *nix aficionado.
I am a grassroots sysadmin and a manager of international teams.
I am enthused by highly available, scalable and robust cloud software, and by availability, security, performance, resilience and observability.
I run complex web services for well known companies at large scale.
I build and run teams of highly skilled engineers, who are better at this than I am.
I spent seven years at Okta, from bootstrapping the London SRE team to leading Infrastructure Automation and product SRE across EMEA, the US, Israel and India.
I have helped lead compliance programmes including PCI, GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP Moderate/High and IL4, so I have read a lot of documents.
I am curious about Infrastructure as Code, automating all the things, human-computer interactions and all the as-a-Service’s.
I spend a lot of time with computers and quite a bit of time explaining what I do at work to my friends and family.
